"Des Golettes" Mill
Description
This old windmill in Velaine-sur-Sambre dates from the second half of the 18th century. It was classified as a historical monument in 1988. The brick and blue stone structure, from which the sails are unfortunately missing, remained abandoned for many years before undergoing restoration work.
The mill then took on a new life! Transformed into a tourist attraction, it now consists of an exhibition room that tells the story of the mill as well as a viewpoint indicator displaying photos and providing information on the surrounding area. In addition, the building offers an outstanding panoramic view of the region.
